Dannica Keighley

Dannica qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Liverpool in 2014 and has since worked in a wide variety of hospital and community settings. After graduating, she began her career in the Liverpool Community Physiotherapy team, assessing, treating and supporting patients in their homes and other community settings suffering from mobility issues caused by accidents, illness, ageing and both neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.

Dannica went on to complete her Band 5 rotations at The Royal Liverpool Hospital where she worked extensively within the frailty team and in older person’s care, before moving on to Warrington Hospital for her Band 6 rotations. Here was where her passion for neurological physiotherapy really developed, treating patients on the stroke ward, as well as in neuro outpatients and within the community neuro team.

Prior to joining us at Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy, Dannica had been working in the Integrated Community Reablement and Assessment service (ICRAS) throughout the Liverpool area. This 24/7 service brings together a multidisciplinary team of professionals to care for people in the community requiring urgent support with their health and well-being, aiming to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions and provide treatment in the comfort of patient’s homes.

Dannica joined us full-time in June 2024 and has been a fantastic addition to the team who is already proving popular with patients and colleagues alike. She is looking forward to taking a hands-on approach with her patients, working together closely to achieve their individual goals. Outside of work Dannica enjoys going on walks with her dog Ralph, keeping fit and travelling.
